Maysa on the move

After her summer in Kazakhstan, our remaining tagged bird Maysa has made a quick flight south to Tallymerjan, the critically important staging area before birds push on across the Hindu Kush to their wintering grounds. Leaving on the 14th of September, she reappeard on the Uzbekistan/Turkmenistan border 900 miles to the south on the 19th. Sociable Lapwings usually remain in the area for about a month before pushing onwards.
