Not much has changed over the past week, with most of our tagged birds seeming to have settled down for the winter.
In the east, Maysa and Tesfaye remain in Pakistan…
…while three birds are in Sudan (Shirin in the same area near New Haifa as last year):
Canan and Vyan are keeping to local patches within north-western Saudi Arabia, and Ajaz looks like the only bird who is currently in transit, having moved to the Syria/Jordan border in the last few days:
Most of the birds are on areas of uncultivated land…
…although Canan is moving around an area of pivot fields:
Colleagues in Saudi Arabia have recently been out searching for Sociable Lapwings around the areas where our tagged birds have been, and we will have more details here soon.
